Advanced Email Marketing Workshop Kicks Off Chicago Online Marketing Group's 2009 Seminar Series
Entrepreneurs and marketing specialists invited to network and learn from online marketers
The Chicago Online Marketing Group will kick off its 2009 seminar series with a workshop on advanced email marketing strategies on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Stanley's on Racine. Rey Villar, a Chicago online marketing specialist, will lead the workshop on "How to Quickly Build an Effective Email List and Get Higher Conversions," starting at 7:00 PM. The Chicago Online Marketing Group is an industry forum where online marketing practitioners and experts can learn, share and network. The group includes specialists on the marketing staff or large companies and boutique agencies, as well entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking to tap into the opportunities made available by Internet marketing. There is no cost to join the Chicago Online Marketing Group.
The central feature of the Chicago Online Marketing Group is its monthly series of Online Marketing seminars, featuring specialists and practitioners already in the field. The seminars are held on the last Tuesday of each month. Participants will also have an opportunity for networking before and after each of the one-hour presentations.
For its first seminar, Villar will discuss proven strategies for quickly building an effective AND legitimate email marketing list. He will show how it's possible to build a big list without falling into the trap of focusing on quantity over quality. He will review web design, search engine optimization and promotional tactics that can add genuine prospects to an online marketer's mailing list.
The quality of email lists will have a direct impact on an email marketer's conversion rate, the percentage of email recipients who actually becomes a lead for the marketer. But as Villar will discuss, there are additional email tactics that can increase email conversion rates, including pre-testing, inclusion of trust elements, choosing the right call to action and crafting a strong subject line. He will review these and other tips that marketers, entrepreneurs and small business owners can use to raise their open, click-through and conversion rates.
Other seminars already scheduled for the 2009 series will feature other online marketing experts sharing their strategies for successful pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, marketing blogs, SEO copywriting and monetizing web traffic.
